My Birds
I have always been intrigued by birds, since I was a little child.  I have had chickens, pigeons,
peacocks, pheasants, and quail.  As I got older, I fell in love with cage birds and started to get some,
hand-rearing babies, and selling them.  I love the Australian species, as they are the most colorful in
the world, and their gentle natures can't be beat!

I intend to have several breeding pairs of each species, and will offer them for sale as they become
available. I will start posting photos of them on a PhotoBucket link, when they are ready for new
homes.

Birds are such an enjoyment for me and my Mom, to sit and watch their cute little antics, and when
they are eating with a big piece of parsley in their beak and playing tug of war with it, I can watch them
for hours.  I do have a few cages in my bedroom, as their songs are soothing to me.

Hope you enjoy the photos, as much as I enjoy the real thing!
Yellow Turq - these are
Turquiosines, the yellow mutation.
They also come in green, and I
plan on having both varieties.
Black Head Gould Finches,
another Australian breed.  I will
have normals with green backs,
blue backs, and a few with yellow
and silver backs.
Blue Male Gould
Gould Flight cage
Cinnamon Hen - these cute little
guys are called Bourkes, and are
an Australian parakeet - they come
in many exciting color mutations!
Rosey Bourke pair - I will be
adding cream, Lutino, pink, fallows,
and rubinos, along with
blue-rumped red opalines.
Gloster Flight cage - Gloster's
canaries are referred to as the
"Beatle" canary, with their cute
little topknot!
Gloster canaries are more chunky
in body type, and their song is
softer, but beautiful, none the
less.  I inted to raise both Gloster
and American canaries (I have one
pair of American singers - their
song is lovely and LOUD! LOL!),
and I am thinking of adding
Yorkshire canaries, as well.
I plan on raising a few varieties of Diamond doves.  I have the normals, white-tailed silvers,
and white-tailed blues; I will add brilliants this fall, and will add more photos as I acquire the
birds.  I also plan on raising Cape doves - they are a small dove, just like the Diamond dove,
about parakeet size.  There is nothing like cooing doves, so soothing, especially in the
morning!
